one of those
that’s intertwined
face to face
pink to pink
green to green
too matchy-matchy
to be real people,
just a pair
of drapes.

I am frozen
in glass, she is
the dull yellow
that spells
age, the scent
of old basements
and stale loving
that seeps
into walls, I
will be here
in this place
until age finds
me again.
