Umbrella Poem

cover me, I’ll
cover you as we
splash in reflections
of each other

Pittsburgh

city of steel
winding bridges
greets me
like the stale winter
I spent with her

world of the past
comes swirling
back threatening
to take over my
present day again

smell of dust
an old bookstore
digging through
photo albums.

BIO: Nate Maye is a rising poet. Nate studies literature, and watches too much television.
