Halloween

Blood brother and sister
Posed like anorexic twins with big hair,
the artistic insolence of their youth, preserved
with eyeliner and mousse.
The truth screams “We’re 60 years old!”
But who cares about that.
They’re gonna party like it’s 1983, damn it!

Wonderfully developed free spirited poem by Jade Blackmore
attuned to the rhythms in a holiday life which revives epiphanies
and generating a compelling memory we may all share.
